Archiving Occupy Project
The Occupy Wall Street narrative had many authors, stances, and perspectives, and so this digital project was established as an experiment to explore the question: How do we archivally approach such a multifaceted, democratic movement?
The collection, built by student activist-archivists, is presented in the same time-, location-, and object-based way Occupy presented itself. A cluster map, timeline, and subject access points dynamically present photographs, flyers, oral histories, social media accounts, and more. The site was open to the public for CC-licensed contribution via phone app.
